Hi Montana Patriots!
As you know, the drawing of the 2 Congressional Districts is the single most important issue facing our state for the next decade and beyond.
The Redistricting Commission met on Tuesday, October 5th. They approved 9 maps for consideration in selecting the final map. Public comment will be heard on Tuesday, October 19th at the Capitol Building, Room 102 in Helena. SAVE THE DATE!
The meeting is scheduled to hear public comment beginning at 10:00 am, however, the agenda may change between now and then. To keep updated, you can check the Agenda here
The Republicans submitted 4 maps with basic East/West Districts. The Democrats submitted 5 maps with crazy configurations in an attempt to gerrymander the “West” District so that no Republican can win. Here is a link to view the maps on the Commission’s website. More to follow…
