The following dialog was recorded at the September 1st Custer County Commissioner meeting. It took place at the 32-minute mark of the recording.
Citizen: How many ballots were returned from the June primary undeliverable?
Custer County Election Official: I got 277 returned undeliverable.
Citizen: OK, are those all going to go back out again for the November election?
Custer County Election Official: I believe not.
“I believe not.” Really?
Shouldn’t our election office and its representatives be absolutely, positively SURE about this? That’s 277 ballots! Ballots with an unknown upcoming protocol. Will there be another 277 undeliverable ballots floating around our county for anyone to complete and mail-in? Clearly the Election Office, under the supervision of *Linda Corbett, needs to take attention to such details much, much more seriously.
*Linda Corbett told at least two lies to the County Commissioners and the county citizens in attendance at a previous meeting. Both lies were about crucial information relative to how the county’s citizens would vote this year. Ostensibly, the County Commissioners used Linda Corbett’s misrepresentations to guide their decision-making processes.
